Our Mission

We come from East San Jose—raised in dysfunctional homes where violence, instability, and survival were part of everyday life. Gangs were all around us. Positive role models were hard to find. Like many kids in our neighborhoods, we grew up with more barriers than opportunities.

But we found a different path. Through sports and skilled trades, we discovered structure, accountability, and purpose. We found spaces that pushed us to grow, connected us with mentors, and gave us something real to build on. Those experiences didn’t just change our lives—they saved them.

That’s why we founded Rising Tide Youth Foundation.

We’re committed to keeping kids off the streets and away from gangs by connecting them to organized sports and hands-on trade programs in their own communities. We partner with local academies, teams, and training centers to provide full scholarships for youth—covering everything from registration to gear and tools. These programs already have strong foundations; we help make them accessible to those who need them most.

Every young person deserves a shot—regardless of where they come from or what their home life looks like. We focus on breaking the cycle and showing kids that there’s another way forward.

We’re not tied to any political movement or organization. We’re not here for attention. We’re here to serve—because we’ve lived it, and we know what it takes to rise.

At Rising Tide Youth Foundation, we believe no kid is too far gone—just too often overlooked. We work with youth who are facing some of life’s toughest challenges: violence, poverty, bullying, incarceration. But we also see their potential. And we fight every day to help them see it too.

 

Through free sports programs, mentorship, and trade training, we give them structure, purpose, and a real path forward. But we can’t do it alone.

As a Rising Tide Partner, your gym, academy, business, or organization becomes part of that fight. By hosting open mats, clinics, workshops, or simple fundraisers, you help fund
scholarships and hands-on opportunities that keep kids off the streets and on a better path.
